Chiappone, Dolores

Born in 1931 in Rochester, New York, Dolores has painted professionally for more than 50 years and is collected around the globe. Influenced by pre-Columbian American art, Dolores’s work sings of a place where spirit and body converge, a world where tactile circumstance merges with subjective mythologies of soul. Whether her paintings reflect rapture or rancor, they transcend representation to bring us closer to life in its purest, most cognitive form.
