Molnar, George

George Molnar's photo-realistic painting begins with photography that combines careful attention to light and composition and the spontaneous magic of his favorite subject: children. He photographs his models at one location, then returns to the painting studio to re-imagine the scenes, incorporating elements such as sky and landscape detail from locations around northern Arizona, including his home, Prescott. His work often features models from the Navajo tribe, and over the years has followed a few from childhood through youth to adulthood. Molnar's work has been included in museum collections and featured in art magazines focused on iconic art of the West.
