Ans Carnes is a contemporary figurative oil painter originally from Bavaria, Germany, now living in the mountains near Prescott, Arizona. She specializes in vibrant, modern wildlife portraits, particularly her signature series of large, colorful hummingbirds in motion. Her work captures the energy, movement, and intricate beauty of nature with a distinctive combination of detailed realism and expressive brushstrokes.
