Michael E. Beals is a metal art sculptor whose work is unique and intuitive. He feels that art is an expression of our past, and that by creating metal sculptures he leaves an expression of his time for those in the future to enjoy. He crafts each piece to be timeless.
All of Mike’s designs are original, one of a kind creations. He creates bells as metaphors for life, the passage of time and a celebration of life: ring the bell in the morning as a celebration of the start of day and in the evening as a thank you.
Mike gained a love of the outdoors and creating art while residing in the wilderness of Alaska for 15 years. He was inspired by his older brother to begin welding, then met other artists who were pioneering the art of metal sculpting — all which led to his unique style.
Each of Mike’s pieces incorporate a ringable, handcrafted bell, an item from the past and an element of the present. The use of stone and glass in his works connects our spirits to the journey of life. The sculptures range in size from indoor, entryway tabletop scale to outdoor garden pieces.
Mike works from a studio in Apple Valley, Utah, close to Zion Nation Park, a wonderful land of color with spiritual inspiration.
Mr. Beals gongs are beautiful indoors and outdoors.
