Prescott artist Bryan Tubbs combines wood, steel, stone, clay and other materials to sculpt pieces that invite the viewer on an escapade through love, laughter, pain and mystery. Like the unpredictable experiences that inspire them, his works express the ephemerality and surprise of everyday life while provoking emotion and thought.

About the Artist

Bryan Tubbs grew up in art studio and as a third-generation artist, he was introduced to many different mediums and styles through school, family and friends. He sold his first sculpture at the age of eight, launching a career that tells the story of his life.

His sculptures are a product of each day. Some days, he feels like creating things with color, life and beauty. Other days, he just wants to hide from the world and play with the voices in his head. He loves the unknown and the challenge of creating drives him to produce in multiple medias.

His own medium choices changes over the years from wood, steel, stone, clay and other materials. He sculpts his tangled web of life, using his head and hands to send viewers into a world of love, laughter, pain and mystery. He wants us to smile, think, laugh and cry, to transcend from the darkness of our souls to the heavens, and maybe back.
