Prescott artist Sarah Foster creates a striking variety of fine jewelry from her Stone Creek Designs studio. Each piece is handcrafted from quality materials incorporating unusual stones, mixed metals and designs that hearken to nature and antiquity. Pieces are made from solid sterling and fine silver, 18K gold, 14K gold, copper, bronze and gold-filled materials, with natural stones. Commissions and custom work available.
About the Artist
Sarah Foster was born in Sedona, Arizona, and operates Stone Creek Designs studio in Prescott. From an early age, she was involved in music and theatre. These interests continued through high school and college, where she studied stage makeup and costume design to earn a degree in theatre management and communications. In addition to her abiding passion for theater arts, gardening, yoga and hiking continue to inform her designs.
Mostly self-taught, Sarah has developed her art through multiple workshops and classes in jewelry design and creation. Her unique style comes from something deeper than technical process. By constant experimentation, artists learn through their mistakes and triumphs. Sarah believes this is the secret to original art. Through a highly personal process, art “speaks” to us.
Stone Creek Designs has received special attention at juried art shows around the country and garnered many awards. Sarah’s studio is located at her home outside of Prescott, which she shares with her ceramics-artist husband, Robert, and a menagerie of critters.
