"Golden Hour at Superstitions:" Atop the Superstition Mountains, the evening sun peeks out from between the clouds of passing storms still lingering in the sky. Majestic rock formations rise from the rugged terrain, while resilient cholla cactus dot the foreground, a testament to nature's enduring beauty amidst fleeting moments. While I knew I would be hiking back in the dark, I did not know that most of the entire return trip would be accompanied by a raging winter thunderstorm filled with lightning, painfully stinging sleet and cold rain, and I was surprised to find that even my car was covered in slush by the time I made it back down!
