About the Artists

Ceramicists Rick and Margaret Fitch are dedicated studio potters who have developed their unique style and process over 30 years. Born and raised in Arizona, Rick Fitch earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Education from Arizona State University. While teaching secondary-level ceramics and jewelry making, he continued to work on his craft, participating in workshops with renowned potters and developing a process that pays particular attention to the interplay of function, form and aesthetics. Today, the Fitches create distinctive, contemporary pottery for the home that captures the style, beauty and colors of the Southwest.

Made in Phoenix, Fitch Pottery is wheel-thrown or hand built, then given a unique finish. Rick is intrigued with shaping, designing pieces ranging from intimate dinnerware sets and serving pieces to decorative works. He seeks to make collectors feel excited about adding pieces to their collections, and sharing them with family and friends.

The Fitches participate in juried art exhibitions around the West. Their work has earned numerous awards and may be found in galleries throughout the United States and abroad. They hope that each piece will be admired for its beauty and used in daily life for years to come.
